ANNUAL FUNDRAISER

Greetings Future Sponsors

The Plano North Metroplex (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated requests your support as a sponsor for its 21st Annual Fundraiser, A Day at the Races: Le Chapeau Affaire, to be held on Sunday, April 21, 2024. For almost thirty-five (35) years, the Plano North Metroplex Chapter has provided significant services in Plano and surrounding areas. Our mission is to deliver distinctive services and impactful programs through active engagement of our members, strong community partnerships and strategic collaborations. We are impacting our collective community in several ways:

ENRICHING LIVES. We launched our award-winning Securing Wisdom and Grace Program (S.W.A.G.) in

partnership with the Plano Independent School District in 2015. Monthly programming and interactions provide a

platform to introduce middle and high school students to educational programs including S.T.E.A.M. (Science,

Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math); cultural enrichment activities, and presentations that promote healthy

lifestyles. We are proud to share a new initiative this year, the sponsorship and chartering of a new STEM  program

spearheaded by The Links, Incorporated called  NSBE Jr. (National Society of Black Engineers). This initiative is

designed to expose students, grades 8 – 12, to the opportunities and possibilities offered by STEM-related careers.

IMPACTING COMMUNITIES. We are building relationships with community partners to address critical needs within the community. The Plano Independent School District named our organization as a Partner in Education; also, we have worked with the Plano Housing Authority and awarded scholarships to students attending Collin Community College. Our chapter has a long tradition of providing services to organizations that support the needs of residents in our service area.

NURTURING FRIENDSHIP. With friendship as its foundation, the Chapter is dedicated to service in the community.

Our annual fundraiser is an investment in the future of our youth and the community. The multi-faceted event is held at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, and features several activities and different types of entertainment throughout the evening. A planned program enables us to share an overview of chapter programs and highlight sponsors for their support of the event. Given consistently growing enthusiasm, we anticipate upwards of 1000 attendees. As such, we hope you will see value in partnering with us.

We have enclosed information regarding the various Sponsorship Levels and event information which provide details that will assist you in making the most of your experience. Should you need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact Ms. Gail Lewis, Sponsorship Chair noted below.

We appreciate your consideration and thank you for your commitment to the community.

Regards,
