We appreciate your support and leadership to extend meaningful programming to our communities! The Plano North Metroplex (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated anticipates returning to our annual “Day at The Races” Le Chapeau Affaire”., fundraiser held at Lone Star Park, Grand Prairie, Texas in 2022. The event emulates the Kentucky Derby giving our guests the opportunity to showcase their hats as well as watch race events at the track. We entertain over 600 guests annually with an evening of live horse racing, music, prizes, good food and fun!
Our Mission as a chapter is to provide distinctive services and impactful programs with active engagement of our members, strong community partnerships and strategic collaborations. Our chapter programming is based on our National Programmatic thrusts in five facet areas: National Trends & Services, Services to Youth, International Trends & Services, The Arts and Health & Human Services. This year the chapter is working with a target group of underrepresented minority youth in Grades 6 – 8 that convene at two primary middle schools in the Plano Independent School District. Our goal through Securing Wisdom and Grace will allow our members, through monthly interactions with this target group to expose them to a variety of educational and cultural experiences. It is our intent that these experiences will inspire them to make better behavioral choices and positively impact their school attendance and academic achievement. Through generous donations we are also able to fund the chapter’s scholarship program with a target of providing $15,000 in scholarships this fiscal year.
We appreciate your consideration and commitment to serving those in need. The Plano North Metroplex Chapter extends a warm invitation to become a Corporate Sponsor of this Fundraising event. Enclosed is a Sponsorship Form that outlines the options for your participation.
